M.L. - Female 28 yrs. - Painfully Swollen Knees from Marathon Running

"As a PhD candidate at Harvard University I have often found myself experiencing an incredible amount of stress with the demands of my studies. Consequently, I used marathon running as my way of successfully managing it until my knees really began to bother me. They became very swollen and painful.

I was really starting to panic with the prospect of not having any way to handle my stress so I went to see an orthopedic specialist who diagnosed my condition as chondritis of both knees and stated that running was no longer an option for me. I was devastated! Again, I had no idea what I was going to do to handle my stress. I started to lose sleep and felt myself tumbling into depression.

After a few weeks, I decided to go to another specialist who had been recommended to me by one of my professors for a second opinion. But the diagnosis was the same and he too recommended that I consider finding some other way of dealing with my stress. Then when I pressed him for his views on any other optional treatments I might be able to consider for my knees, he suggested acupuncture. He stated that, although he did not know much about it, he had heard that it could be helpful for many joint problems due to overuse.

I met Ray when he was still a student at the New England School of Acupuncture. I had gone to the student clinic there for treatments. He explained to me that chondritis meant that I had inflammation of the cartilage within my knees; that perhaps if he could reduce the swelling and increase blood flow to my knee joints I might be able to run again.

Ray stated that he had to get permission from his supervisor to use an advanced acupuncture treatment that he had learned from a Chinese practitioner outside of school. He then treated me by inserting needles all around my knees. It may seem hard to believe but they didn't hurt at all. Then he put aluminum foil around them to protect my skin from the heat and then he proceeded to burn balls of some kind of herb on top of the needles. It's hard to explain, but the warmth I would then feel inside of my knees felt wonderful.

After about 4 weeks of treatment, my knees felt fine again. The swelling and pain was gone. So I took a chance and contacted my personal trainer again. We started out with a test run of three miles to see what would happen and the next day my knees felt fine. I continued to see Ray once per week and within 6 more weeks I was able to work my way up to a 16 miler with no problems the next day!

I just got back from NYC where I ran the New York Marathon. My knees are fine! Ray didn't even have to ask me for this testimonial. I prepared it for him on my way back on the train. I am not even sure if I would have been able to make it through grad. school without his help. Obviously, I am now also hooked on acupuncture!"

P.T. - Female, 50 yrs. - Chronic Shoulder Pain after Rotator Cuff Surgery.

"I had injured my shoulder while in a pub one Friday night. A couple of guys started to throw punches at one another and I got shoved down to the floor. It felt like a knife had gone right through my shoulder when I hit the floor.

When the pain wouldn't let up, my doctor sent me to see an orthopedic specialist and he told me I had torn my rotator cuff and that it would have to be repaired with surgery. I had the surgery, but afterward the pain really never went away. It wasn't like a sharp, knife pain anymore. It was more like a deep ache. My doctor then gave me a cortisone shot, but that only helped the pain for a few days. Then when Ray dropped into the diner where I worked part-time one Sunday morning I asked him if his acupuncture treatments might be able to help me.

I couldn't believe what happened during my first acupuncture treatment. While I was sitting on the acupuncture table, Ray came over and began to zap my left ankle with this little electrical device that felt like a vibration. He then asked me to slowly rotate my shoulder and evaluate the level of pain that remained. I couldn't believe it at first. The pain was all gone! Ray then put needles around that same ankle and a few other places on my body and suddenly I started to feel a deep wave of relaxation coming over me. He helped me lie down and the next thing I knew he was waking me up 45 minutes later. I had fallen into a deep sleep. I left the office with no shoulder pain at all!

Ray told me to keep track of how long the shoulder pain stayed away so he could evaluate how often I would have to come for treatments. It staid away for about a day and then came back, but not as bad. Unfortunately, the pain ended up being stubborn so I had to go for treatments three times per week for two weeks. Then, I think, twice a week for another week and then only once per week for another month or so before it was gone for good."

G.G. - Male, 48 yrs., Bulging Discs at L-4 and L-5 and Sciatica

"When I came to see Mr. Jette I was in bad shape. I could hardly walk up to his second floor clinic. My lower back was killing me and I had bad sciatica too. My doctor had sent me to a specialist who said I was going to probably have to have surgery for bulging discs. We tried a couple of cortisone shots, but that only gave me relief for a few days. I called Mr. Jette and told him that I was trying to avoid surgery at all cost and was hoping that acupuncture might be able to help me out. I must admit that I wasn't eager to have him put needles in my back, but I was willing to try anything to avoid surgery.

At first I was confused at what Mr. Jette was doing to treat me. He had me lie on my back on the treatment table and then he put needles in both of my hands and wrists and around my ankles. He tried to explain to me why he was treating me this way, but I don't think I could explain it to you. All I know is that the needles didn't hurt at all. I really wondered how they were going to help me at all. He told me that I was just going to have to have faith and be patient for a couple of weeks.

Well, I had to go three times per week for about two weeks before I noticed that the pain was starting to go away and the sciatica was almost gone. Then I went twice a week for another couple of weeks until the pain was almost gone. Then I went once per week for treatments for about 6 more weeks until I was completely free of pain.

Now I am considering going to see Mr. Jette for hypnosis to lose some weight. He told me that the extra weight I am carrying around my waist is putting a lot of strain on my lower back. He also says that exercise will help to strengthen my low back muscles and take the strain off of my bad discs." G.G.

E.F. - Female, 28 yrs., Fatigue, Unexplainable Weight Gain, Insomnia and Depression (Adrenal Fatigue)

"When I finally called Ray at Mind-Body Wellness I was really feeling desperate. I had been feeling progressively more exhausted over the past six months, but I couldn't seem to get restful nights of sleep either. Furthermore, I was beginning to panic over the sudden weight gain I was experiencing for the first time in my entire life. The best my doctor was able to offer me was some medication for both sleep and anxiety, but I didn't really like how they made me feel. I really felt like I was spiraling out of control and beginning to even feel depressed at times. I knew I had been pushing myself really hard over the last couple of years with graduate school and working long hours at my job, but since I was young, I thought I could handle it.

I had never been to an acupuncturist before I saw Ray so I had no idea what to expect during me first visit. I filled out a very extensive registration form and when I met with him he asked me a lot of questions about my symptoms, diet, lifestyle and stress level. Then he gave me the most thorough examination I have ever had in my life - my tongue, my pulse, my blood pressure, my skin, my hair, etc. When he began to examine my stomach by gently pressing with his fingers on various spots he called reflex areas, I was surprised at how some of them where really very tender when he pressed on them.

Ray explained his diagnosis to me in both Chinese and Western medical terms. In Chinese terms I had both kidney yin and kidney yang deficiency as well as a few other things I can't remember (sorry). In Western medical terms, I essentially had adrenal gland fatigue which was confirmed with a cortisol saliva test kit he gave me to do over the course of a day while I was at work.

I have been receiving acupuncture treatments from Ray for about 6 weeks now and with the nutritional supplements and recommended dietary changes he gave me, I am starting to feel a lot better. I am sleeping through the night now and most of the time I have enough energy to last me almost through the day. As soon as I get my energy back, I am also planning to see him soon for a few hypnosis sessions to work on my cravings for sweets and also to get myself motivated to start an exercise routine so I can fit comfortably into my wardrobe again.

I felt very comfortable with Ray and I would recommended others to try acupuncture when they don't feel they are getting satisfaction from their doctor or don't really want to resort to taking pills."

L.B. - Female, 39 years - Migraine Headaches

"I came to see Ray for migraine headaches that I had been suffering with off an on for many years. But now they had gotten so bad that the medication my doctor gave me wasn't helping anymore. When we tried to increase the dosage I would really get too nauseous and dizzy to even go to work. Without higher meds, I would experience a throbbing pain behind one of my eyes. Sometimes it would be the right eye and at other times the left eye. I would get nauseous, dizzy and have both visual and hearing auras. When it got really bad I would also have a feeling of pins and needles in my hands. I was starting to miss a lot of work and needed to do something to avoid jeopardizing my job.

When I first went to see Ray, I was having such a bad migraine that day I couldn't even fill out the registration form. He had to read the Patient Consent to Treatment form to me and then I signed it.

During the first treatment he put tiny needles in near the tips of my fingers. I remember thinking to myself, this isn't going to work. I almost started to cry in frustration. Then, after about 10 minutes, something funny started to happen. The throbbing pain I was feeling behind my right eye started to move to in between my eyes. Although I started to feel a little nauseous it was only mild. I pressed the button to call Ray back into the treatment room to tell him what was happening.

He then proceeded to put needles in other places and then told me he would return in about 10 minutes to check how I was doing. Next thing I knew, he was waking me up. I had slept a whole hour and when I woke I really felt relaxed but also a little groggy. I remember asking him why putting the needles in my fingers was able to help get rid of my migraine. He tried to describe something about meridians and Qi to me, but when I clearly showed that I didn't understand what he was saying, he said, "the light bulb was behind my eye, but the switches to turn it off were down at my fingers."

Ray told me that my neck and upper back muscles were as hard as a rock when he examined me and that he felt that my migraines were due to chronic stress. He then explained to me how hypnotherapy would be able to get rid of the stress and probably get rid of my migraines for good.

Well, I went through regression hypnotherapy with Ray for about 4 months and, boy, I can't believe how much emotional stuff I released during those weekly sessions. He was right. Once I got all the emotional stress out, my neck and shoulder muscles no longer got tight and sore anymore. I haven't had a migraine headache now in over three months and I am really starting to feel great.

I want to recommend acupuncture and hypnosis and Ray to everyone. It really is great. I don't know where I would be right now without his help. Probably out of a job. Thank God - no more medications either!"

C.B. - Female, 35 yrs. - Chronic Stress and Compulsive Eating

"Going to see Mr. Jette was one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life, but I am so glad that I finally found the courage to do it. I had seen several therapists over the last 7 years, but nothing was helping. I wasn't sleeping, I was suffering from anxiety and depression all the time and I was starting to over eat and really put on weight. It took me almost a year after talking to Mr. Jette several times over the phone before I could get up the courage to call him back and start regression hypnotherapy. He was my last resort.

Going back to my childhood experiences was scary at first, but Mr. Jette explained that the problems I was having today probably began way back then. I couldn't believe the amount of fear, hurt, remorse, anger and all the other feelings I had bottled up inside of me. It all came out over a couple of years and changed my life forever. I don't really want to think about what could have happened to me if I hadn't found Mr. Jette. My life is so wonderful now. God bless him"

-- C.B. Mortgage Broker, Shrewsbury. MA

D.G. - Male, 62 yrs. - Smoking Cessation

"I have been smoking ever since I was about 14 years old. When I went to see Mr. Jette I was smoking about 2 packs a day for over 45 years, but my doctor told me that now I was developing emphysema. So, I had to quit.

I couldn't believe it. The next morning after my hypnosis treatment, I realized that I wasn't even thinking about a cigarette when I had my morning coffee. I didn't really like having cereal for breakfast, but Mr. Jette said that I needed it for energy instead of nicotine to start the day just like an automobile needs gas not fumes. I have been smoke free now for about 3 months and my doctor just told me that my lungs sounded much clearer and I know that my breathing has improved a lot. I couldn't stand the cereal every morning, so now I fix myself a variety of breakfasts."

J.R. - Female, 61 yrs. - Plantar Warts on Feet and Hands

"I came to see Ray for plantar warts all over my feet. I have had them for at least 20 years now and I have tried everything to get rid of them, but nothing has ever worked. When my current dermatologist recommended I try hypnosis, at first I thought she was joking. Then I called Mr. Jette and he explained that he had helped many people with skin conditions before.

While I was under hypnosis, I was guided back to the time just before I broke out with the warts. It seems so obvious to me now, but it didn't even dawn on me then. Here is what I discovered.

Ever since I can remember, I have always had a terrible phobia to dogs. I can't even be on the same side of the street with them. If one comes along down the sidewalk, I have to walk across the street as quickly as I possibly can to avoid it.

What Ray helped me discover with hypnosis was that my dog phobia was somehow connected to my breaking out with plantar warts on my feet. Let me explain. My husband and I are avid walkers. So, about 20 years ago now we had planned to walk from our home in Newton to a relative's house on Nauset Beach, Cape Cod. We planned to stay at various friends and relatives houses along the way.

When we finally got to the end of our journey, I took off my sneakers and socks and proceeded to run barefoot on the beach to celebrate our accomplishment. That is when I stepped in a pile of dog s__t! When Ray brought me back to that experience while I was in hypnosis, I couldn't believe the revulsion I was experiencing. I felt like the flesh on my feet was crawling. I also came to realize then while in hypnosis that, from that day forward, I had never, ever touched my feet again. Even in the shower I would just run liquid soap over them and let the water rinse them off.

Then Ray took me back to uncover what caused my dog phobia when I was only about 4 years old. My babysitter had taken me outside of the apartment complex where we lived so she could hang out with some of her friends. When we came around the corner of one of the brick buildings, I was confronted by a big black dog coming up the stairs out of a dark stairwell. He stuck his nose in my face to sniff me and I froze. I was never the same after that. Dogs scared me from then on.

After several sessions addressing the phobia, Ray told me that I should not have any fear of dogs from now on and, to my amazement, I didn't! I discovered it one day while my husband and I were walking down the sidewalk when, all of a sudden, he poked me and said, "Do you know what you just did?" I said, "no, what?" He pointed behind me. I turned around to discover that I had just walked right by a big shaggy dog! I couldn't believe it.

Now the hypnosis sessions focused on restoring more blood flow to my hands and feet which were always cold. Ray told me that the warm blood would now bring my immune cells to my hands and feet to kill the virus that causes the plantar warts. I am embarrassed to state that I didn't continue with the number of treatments Ray suggested I attend, because I guess I really didn't believe it was going to work. But after about 2 months, all the plantar warts were gone!

Two years later, I had to return to see Ray again. I had now developed a few plantar warts on my fingers. My dermatologist treated them with Effudex cream, but it caused the warts to migrate under my finger nails. Now I was told I would have to have surgery to remove the nails - ugh!

I returned to see Ray and again he performed his hypnosis magic. The crud under my nails began to crumble away after several treatments and my dermatologist was amazed. We postponed the scheduled surgery to wait and see what would happen. The warts were gone in about two months. Now I have healthy nails growing back in again!"

-- J. R., Retired, Newton, MA

[Because of J.R.'s dog phobia and the incident of stepping in dog feces on Nauset Beach many years later, she ended up developing a psycho-emotional aversion to her own feet. This aversion was literally translated by her autonomic nervous system into a reduction of blood circulation to her feet which allowed the virus to take hold due to the lower concentration of immune cells in the area. By removing the phobia, J.R.'s subconscious mind was able to resolve the aversion it had held toward her feet and normal blood flow could then be restored by direct hypnotic suggestion. By increasing blood circulation to her feet, J.R.'s immune cells were now able to fight off the virus and the plantar warts eventually disappeared.]

S.T. - Female, 35 yrs. - Intimacy/Relationship Issues

"Going to see Mr. Jette was a particularly humbling experience for me at first, because I have been a mental health professional for the past 12 years now and a supervisor of a staff of seven other therapists at a privately owned clinic. I really wasn't sure at first what to expect, but, after discussing my situation with him over the phone, I found myself quite impressed with his knowledge and experience. I also found myself feeling amazed at how he was able to describe many of my personal behaviors and coping style without my even sharing much about myself with him over the phone. Since he had already helped a friend of mine, I decided to at least try a few sessions to evaluate whether not he might be able to help me. I was soon to learn that I was essentially highly co-dependent and excessively analytical.

The issue I was seeking his help with had to do with my inability to be able to establish and sustain a relationship with a man. God knows I've tried over the years, but with each new attempt at a relationship, after just a few dates, the men would invariably just seem to lose interest and fade away. I couldn't seem to understand why. I am slender, considered attractive, intelligent, etc., so, I took it upon myself to call a few of my more recent dates back to ask them to be open and honest with me as to what they may have observed in me that they found unattractive.

I must admit that I wasn't as prepared as I thought I would be for the news. What made it worse was that all four men characterized me in such a similar manner that I knew they couldn't be wrong. I had to accept that it had to be something within me. Again, it was very humbling at first. Here I was, a well respected psychologist, and I really had no idea how to resolve my own personality issues… at least, not until I spoke with Mr. Jette.

It will suffice to state that I had to undergo about nine months of regression hypnotherapy in order to address the many, unresolved emotional issues I had with members of my immediate family growing up in a very strict environment. And, although at first it was difficult for me to let go of my controls so that I could discharge all the emotions and feelings I was harboring, I can state with complete confidence that it was the best thing I have ever done in my entire life. I feel so incredibly emancipated today that it is impossible to describe it in words. It has completely changed almost every aspect of my life and being.

Within three months of successfully completing the regression hypnotherapy process with Mr. Jette, I finally met the man of my dreams. I am now engaged to be married and I am feeling happier than I have ever felt in my entire life!

What can I say to end this testimonial? I can say that I am deeply indebted to Mr. Jette and I hope that he eventually writes his book to share with all of us in the mental health field the knowledge, skill, experience and incredible therapeutic process he has developed over his many years in practice. I would recommend him to anyone. As a matter of fact, recently I even tried to persuade my brother to go through the process with him once he returns from China."

-- S.T., Clinical Psychologist, Belmont, MA

A.F. - Male, 42 yrs - Down and Out and Unemployed

"I am not exaggerating when I state that Mr. Jette has been the most important person in my life. The regression hypnotherapy process he has developed completely turned my life around.

When I went to see him, I was 42 years old, a high school drop-out, unemployed, doing too much pot and running my life into the ground. I actually originally went to see him to stop smoking so that I could get rid of my bad cough, but, by the end of my first session with him, I knew that this man could help me turn my life around.

The first thing we worked on was my fear of having to go back to my high school after so many years to get a transcript so that I could earn my GED and perhaps get a better paying job in the future. But boy, that turned out to be only the beginning, so I will try to be as brief as possible here. Shortly after the regression hypnotherapy process began, I started to experience what I would now describe as a series of emotional and intellectual epiphanies. After every session I felt like something new was just awakening inside of me. Somehow I also seemed to have been able to tap into a wellspring of confidence within myself. I got my GED and then went on to Worcester State College to get my undergraduate degree. Then it was on to Assumption College to earn a master's degree in psychology. Now, at the age of 50 years, I have established my own hypnotherapy practice.

So, do you think Mr. Jette changed my life? You bet he did. I could never possibly thank him enough for all that he has done for me. I am not exaggerating when I state that I am not even certain that I would be alive today if it were not for him. And, I am certain he can do the same for you if you can find the courage to really want to change your life."

L.M. - Male, 44 yrs - Social Avoidance and Public Speaking Phobia

"I am a physician specializing in radiology at a small hospital in a very affluent community near Boston. About a year ago now, the head of our radiology department and my mentor announced at a formal meeting of our peers that he was going to be retiring soon and hinted that he would be nominating me to replace him as Chief of Radiology at the hospital. I experienced the news with an incredible amount of trepidation and anxiety.

Although I knew that I would have felt honored to have been offered the post, I also knew that I would not be able to accept it. You see, I had always found myself feeling awkward and uncomfortable in large social settings and, since the responsibilities of the Chief of Staff would require me to give presentations in front of large groups of my peers, I would not be capable of performing in that capacity. Even at social gatherings at private homes I have always felt very self conscious and awkward.

Consequently, because I knew that my peers were going to be nominating and voting me into the position relatively soon, I told my wife, who is also a physician, that I was going to have to resign from the hospital in order to avoid the embarrassment of turning the position down without really having an adequate reason to explain my behavior.

After consulting with several psychologists for a few months and not sensing that they were really going to be able to help me, my wife suggested that I consider trying hypnosis. At first, I really didn't think she was being serious, but then she shared with me some of the remarkable cases she had observed during her own clinical residency experience at a mid-western hospital. So, with nothing to really lose, I called Mr. Jette and we had an in-depth conversation over the phone.

My regression hypnotherapy process lasted about six months, however, I had made enough progress to have been able to accept the position of Chief of Radiology after only three months. I discovered that all of my issues stemmed from having been raised in an unhealthy family environment with a neurotic, single mother. As the process unfolded, it began to answer so many of the questions as to why I had done so many of the things I had in my life and why I had developed such a strong social and public speaking phobia.

I have to chuckle here, because, as I was writing I recalled the time when Mr. Jette asked me if I had starting to become aware of any subtle changes in my personality or behaviors as of yet. When I said no, he recommended that I ask my wife when I got home to see if she had noticed anything. When I did, she stood up quickly from our living room couch and, in a voice that seemed a bit alarmed she said, "you're not going to stop seeing Mr. Jette are you?" When I asked her why, she said, "because you have really changed remarkably." I then asked her in what way. She then said, "you no longer project that aura of a deep-seated anger."

As a medical doctor, I would recommend Mr. Jette's services to anyone. As a matter of fact, if his office were closer to my hospital location, I would be referring many of my patients to him. He has developed a form of therapy that I do not believe is currently available within the medical and mental health branches of traditional medicine. He has also asked me to share in this testimonial that I was not even hypnotizable during the early stages of my regression hypnotherapy process, yet he was still able to help me to access my feelings and resolve many of my deep-seated, emotional issues without it. I thank him immensely."

B.P. - Female, 52 - Chemotherapy Nausea and Vomiting

"After having been diagnosed with breast cancer, I found myself unable to withstand the chemotherapy treatments I was required to undergo. Some mornings I would get so nauseous before leaving the house for one of my treatments, I would have to call up and reschedule. One day, I actually vomited in the taxi cab on my way to the hospital for a treatment. On another occasion I fainted in the front foyer of the hospital. I wanted to live, but I just couldn't seem to tolerate the treatments. Then a friend of mine who had gone to see Ray for an unrelated matter recommended that I try hypnosis. When I told her I really didn't believe in it, she said, "what have you got to lose?"

Well, what can I tell you? Ray was wonderful. I would go to his office for a hypnosis session the day before each of my next few treatments and I was able to go through the chemotherapy with a breeze. My doctor even commented during one of them that I had a smile on my face throughout it and wanted to know what I had done to change my response to the treatments. When I told him I was seeing a hypnotist he looked flabbergasted! So, I took the opportunity to ask him, "doctor, do you feel all right? You look a little queasy."

Later, when I was required to undergo a more aggressive form of chemotherapy designed to completely wipe out my existing white blood cell count before implanting some of my own white blood cells that had been taken from me earlier and cultured in a laboratory, I called on Ray again. I was told by my oncologist that I would first be getting a medication by IV that was designed to coat the lining of my digestive system so that it would be protected from the toxic effects of the subsequent chemotherapy medication. I was also told that I would be pretty much "under the weather" for at least a few days afterward and would have to remain in the hospital until I felt better.

Ray was great. He designed an audio tape for me with visualizations and guided imagery and then conditioned me while I was under hypnosis to be able to respond to it. The audio tape was designed to bring me to my favorite place to be in the world while experiencing the music I loved the most throughout the IV chemotherapy treatment. When they starting the IV, I was off sailing at sunset at Lake Tashmoo on Martha's Vineyard listening to my favorite instrumental, Rhapsody in Blue…"

[The day after the aggressive chemotherapy treatment, I dropped by the oncology ward at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on my lunch break to see how B.P. was doing. When I approached the nursing station, a voice called out to me, "aren't you the hypnotist?" I said, "yes I am." I then recognized the nurse who had escorted me to B.P.'s room the day before so that I could deliver the audio tape to her. I then asked the nurse how B.P. was doing.

She then said, "I have no idea what you put on that tape, but it really worked. Mrs. B.P. left the hospital this morning. Since we have never had a patient ever recover that quickly from that type of chemotherapy intervention before, we tried to persuade her to stay, but she was so adamant that she felt fine and just signed herself right out of the hospital."]

K.P. - Male, 36 yrs., Performance Anxiety/Stage Fright/Depression

"When Mr. Jette asked me if I would write a testimonial even though I have not finished the process yet, I felt myself welling up with emotion with the realization of the honor I felt that he would consider my comments of enough importance to be placed on his new website. I thought for a moment and then said to him, "but what could I say that might help people to appreciate the value of your therapy?" He said to me, "Just speak from your heart and tell them what the process has honestly meant to you. For example, tell them what you said to me last week when you were leaving the office." Then I remembered what he was talking about. I had turned toward him just before proceeding down the stairs, looked him in the eyes and said to him, "I feel blessed that I have been able to discover you and this wonderful process after so many years of therapy. It is the most important thing I have ever done in my entire life."

With that, I guess there is really nothing more that I could add other than to express my gratitude to Mr. Jette for all the years he has spent perfecting his remarkable hypnotherapy process and helping so many people with it just like me. He is also helping one of my friends who I sent to him for serious depression and thoughts of suicide. She is now doing fine. If you are having problems in your life and cannot seem to find help with them, I encourage you to consider giving Mr. Jette a call. Just be prepared that his therapy will be changing your life forever."

D.J. - Male, 27 yrs. - Batting Slump

"As a professional baseball player, when you fall into a batting slump you can really start to question almost every aspect of your swing, your timing, your hand positions, stance…you name it. You also start to analyze your swing by watching video tapes of your at bats trying to find flaws in your mechanics. I have found through experience that most often this self analyzing process tends to cause more problems that it is worth.

I first went to see a hypnotist when I was in AA minor league baseball in Chicago and it really helped me out of a batting slump I was having at the time. So, I first came to see Mr. Jette in 2000 when I was in town for a three game series against the Red Sox and had fallen into a prolonged batting slump that I couldn't seem to shake myself out of on my own.

By using hypnosis I find that I am able to go back to re-experience my swing prior to my slump so that I can compare every aspect of it to my current, flawed swing. I find it to be a remarkable way to detect any changes that have taken place in my mechanics. In just one session with Mr. Jette, I was able to pick up two important changes that had occurred in my swing. One was that I had opened my stance a bit too much and was turning my hips too early and the second was that I was also dropping my hands down to low just before I turned my hips to start my stride forward to begin my swing.

I spent extra time practicing the adjustments I wanted to make in the batting cage the next morning and during the next game I went 2 for 4 with two doubles. I was back on track thanks to Mr. Jette. I would recommend hypnosis to any athlete who wants to improve his performance."

D.B. - Female, 32 yrs. - Severe Psoriasis

"I am not very good at writing, but Mr. Jette said that if I would try, the information I write might end up helping other people who suffer from psoriasis. So, I decided that I would try to answer the questions on the form he gave me to try to help others. He said if I could speak from my heart the people reading it would get the message. I am also tremendously grateful to him for getting rid of my psoriasis and want to pay him back with my appreciation.

I broke out with psoriasis when I just turned 18 years old. I was accepted at a professional dancing school in New York City and planned to go there after working for an electronics company over the summer. But then I broke out with a severe case of psoriasis all over my body. I looked like one of those people with leprosy.

My company put me on worker's compensation and I staid home for the rest of the summer. I was really suffering with what my doctor called lesions. By body itched a lot and kept leaking blood serum from my psoriasis. It upset me a lot not to be able to go to dancing school at the end of the summer. It was always a dream of mine.

My parents took me to many specialists over the next few years. We even traveled to New York and Florida to see specialists, but the treatments they gave me didn't help at all. I ended up getting very depressed and ended up seeing a psychiatrist for medication when I was about 22. That is how my life has gone for the past fourteen years now. Sometimes my psoriasis really gets bad and I have to wrap myself in saran wrap so that my psoriasis sores don't leak blood serum and cause my skin to scab to the sheets while I am sleeping. I have been suffering with psoriasis and depression for fourteen years now. I also hate when people stare at me when I go out. They look at me like I am a freak. It has made my life miserable.

When I called Mr. Jette, I was hoping that he might be able to use hypnosis to help me get some sleep. I was using a shot of whisky each night to try to calm me down to sleep, but I would always wake up after just a few hours of sleep.

When I talked to Mr. Jette over the phone I was disappointed because his treatments were too expensive for me. He said I might have to come for many of them. Then he agreed to help me with the cost if I agreed to allow him to take pictures of my psoriasis. When I asked him why he wanted to take pictures of my psoriasis, he said that he was going to help me get rid of it. I honestly didn't believe him, but he said that I didn't have anything to lose so I agreed to let him treat me and I only had to pay a little bit of money each week.

Mr. Jette put me into hypnosis and brought me back to my childhood memories. Each time he did, I cried a lot during each session. I remember getting rid of a lot of fear, pain, stress and suffering. He told me I didn't have to tell you why, but to say it was a trauma when I was about 5 to 7 years old. My guess is that I had about 14 sessions with Mr. Jette over this trauma until it didn't seem to bother me anymore.

But then Mr. Jette gave me the bad news that he was moving his office to Boston soon and that he would only be able to treat me for a while longer before he left. Now the hypnosis was different. Mr. Jette used hypnosis to put me into this amazing marble bathroom with a sunken tub filled with healing herbs collected from all over the world. He said that he was hoping that we had gotten enough stress out of my body for this new hypnosis treatment to work.

I would soak in the herbs each week while I was in hypnosis, but I really don't remember much of the other things he told me while I was soaking in the tub. I just remember that he said that the herbs would travel all through my body and be absorbed into every cell to clean them out. I also remember him saying that as the herbs drained out of my body each week it would take all the toxins with it and the psoriasis would disappear. All I remember was that when I was in that tub under hypnosis, my skin felt amazing. So I starting to call Mr. Jette the Wizard of OZ.

About three weeks afterward my psoriasis starting to disappear. About two weeks later I let Mr. Jette take some more pictures of me with my skin all healed. It felt like a miracle had happened to me. My psoriasis was all gone for the first time in 14 years. [Note: D.B. shared with me that she had to wait to finish her testimonial at this point until the next day. She said that she found herself so overwhelmed with emotions and feelings of joy that she cried for a whole hour].

The bad news is that now I had to return to work after being away for 14 years because my company was stopping my worker's compensation payments. When I went back to work I met an old friend of mine from high school named Brad. I had never liked nice guys before. I felt like they were boring. But when Brad began to treat me nice I was surprised because I really seemed to enjoy it now. It is a little difficult for me to talk about, because it embarrasses me a lot, but Mr. Jette stated that it would be really important for people to read about it. So, I think I owe it to him to tell you about it.

I never liked sex. I always found it very uncomfortable and even painful at times. I would only do it with my boyfriends once in awhile because I felt obligated. But then something happened with Brad. For the first time in my life I started to really enjoy it. Then something else started to happen to me. I started to put on weight. I had always been a size 3. I am 5 feet 3 inches tall and I have always weighed about 97 pounds. But now I started to put on weight. I didn't think I was eating any more than usual but I was starting to bulge out all over the place. I was getting too big for my clothes to fit.

When Brad and I went to his cousin's wedding in Chicago and then on a vacation to the Bahamas afterward, I had to buy larger size clothes to fit into when we were on vacation. I called Mr. Jette from the Bahamas and asked him if he knew what was happening to me. I also told him that I had just gotten my first period in my entire life! He told me not to worry and that everything would be fine."

I am amazed at what happened to my body and figure. I put on about 13 lbs over about 5 weeks and then stopped gaining any more weight. I really got a nice figure out of it and I had to change my bra size to a 34C. To me, Mr. Jette really is the Wizard of OZ. My psoriasis is gone now and I really feel like a miracle has happened to me. I can't tell you how much Mr. Jette has helped to make my life happy now. I really owe him a lot and appreciate what he has done to help me.

-- D.B., disability case from psoriasis and depression, Worcester, MA

[When D.B. had left for the wedding and trip to the Bahamas with her boyfriend Brad, she was extremely slender with what one would call a very boyish figure. Due to her having to cancel another appointment once she returned, it was to be five weeks before I would see her back in my office again. When she did return, it was hard to believe how much she had changed. D.B. estimates that she had put on approximately 13 lbs. over a five week period and stopped right at 110 lbs.

Now she was standing in front of me with a perfect hour glass figure. Her face had filled out and I was struck by how radiantly attractive she appeared. She then went on to brag about getting her first period, adding 3 inches to her bra size to a 34 and that she had experienced the first orgasm of her entire life while on vacation! We then discussed the possibility of her talking with her psychiatrist about starting to reduce the level of antidepressant medications she had been on for the past 10 years; that she sensed that she didn't seem to need them anymore.

Because of D.B's significant childhood trauma at the age of about 5 to 7 years of age, she had essentially gone into a state of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). Consequently, she subsequently suffered from bouts of anorexia and never went through puberty at the appropriate time. Once the trauma had been resolved with regression hypnotherapy, D.B's body was finally able to restore both energetic and hormonal balance and she essentially went through puberty at the age of 32 years.

The sad news was that I was getting ready to pack up my office things to prepare for my move to Boston and would eventually lose track of D.B. I really would have liked to have worked with her for awhile longer to help her to accelerate the personality adjustments she was going to have to make to the new, maturing woman that she was now rapidly becoming. In hindsight, I also regret not having taken AFTER photographs of her after she had put on the 13 pounds. She really looked terrific!

Below you will find representative, untouched photo's (sorry about the image quality) of before and after photographs of D.B.'s psoriasis. I have also spared you from having to view the worst photographs of her condition. Her miraculous healing will be one of many cases that I will be publishing in a future book.

BEFOREAFTER

Note: Some of the lesions on D.B.'s body measured ¼ inch in height in areas as large as the size of her hand with one ear being completely covered. The areas of pigmentation differences that appear on her skin in the AFTER photo are due to areas of tanning that she had acquired out in the sun in her back yard while she still had the psoriasis. When the lesions rapidly disappeared over a few weeks period of time, her skin was left with a non-uniform tanning/peeling pattern.
